Artist Statement:

Humanity has an inherent participation in nature. I am drawn to the dire state the earth is in. Some bodies of my work such as the Plastic House series, Suffocation, and Artist Anti-Poster to name a few - are a call to action that takes its form through my use of recycled and reusable materials, and non-toxic substances when I can. I reflect on the ways in which I can further my practice to be progressively better for the environment and I am interested in promoting this aspect to my viewers. To use art in this way allows me to ignite my practice with my ideals to provide substance and deeper meaning. I create art to represent my interpretation and express my passion for the connection between humanity and nature. I strive to breathe life into my work; to draw in and illuminate these themes to a variety of artistic tastes while promoting conscious use of materials.
